Wendy graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor in Engineering, specializing in mechanical engineering and is a current member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Wendy began her career with Tour & Andersson as a control system engineer, where she was responsible for designing, commissioning and servicing control systems for new construction and retrofit projects. Following her time at Tour & Andersson, Wendy joined the Toronto District School Board and was in charge of programming, troubleshooting and maintaining the building automation systems for over 100 schools.
Wendy joined CFMS in 1994, and in addition to her role as a divisional manager and principal at CFMS Toronto, she has played an integral role in many projects including Pearson International Airport T1 and OPP Headquarters. Some of Wendy’s continuous long-standing project work includes: York Region District School Board, York Catholic District School Board and over 18 years with the Simcoe County District School Board.
Wendy’s broad experience spanning all industries, her extensive knowledge of the commissioning process and her long-standing experience with control system engineering makes her indispensable asset to the CFMS team. Additionally, Wendy is highly respected by the consultants and the trades that have worked with her over the years making her a sought after engineer.
Some of Wendy’s highlights of her time at CFMS include: Cx of Mundy’s Bay Public School, where the heating and cooling are provided by a geothermal ground loop through a ‘termodeck’ (thermal mass storage) system Travelling to locations across Canada to provide Cx for various CIBC branches Working with the great people at Simcoe County District School Board, York Region District School Board, and York Catholic District School Board
Fun Fact: Wendy enjoys camping in Ontario's beautiful Provincial Parks, and has visited more than 28 of the 88 overnight parks - just 60 more to go!
