The LEED Gold Certified Centre for Callaborative Education is home to innovative and groundbreaking programs at Durham College such as the Aboriginal Centre; the Entrepreneurship Centre (including the Spark Centre); the Global, Open and Collaborative Space; Health Science Facilities that include state of the art classrooms and labs; and foundation programs to help students for the continuation of post-secondary education.
HVAC systems consist of a hot water heating plant, glycol heating plant, chilled water plant, variable volume air handling units with heat recovery (enthalpy) wheels, lab fume hoods and control system, LV lighting control system and solar photovoltaic system. The building has full DDC control down to and including the individual spaces.
Services provided by CFMS:
· Preparation of the commissioning plan
· Commissioning coordination
· Installation review from a commissioning prospective
· Witnessing static and dynamic contractor tests
· Verification of DDC system and BAS
· 100% performance testing of HVAC and lighting control systems
· Co-ordination of mechanical & electrical equipment and systems training
· Seasonal performance testing of HVAC systems.
