Lakefield College School - New Residence

The new Uplands residence achieved LEED Gold Certification, and set a new standard for residences at Lakefield College, for sustainability and comfort.  Each room has individual heating and cooling through a decentralized cassette HVAC system.  The building consists of two storeys with two common rooms, four study rooms, fully equipped upper floor kitchen, and capacity for 26 students.


HVAC systems consist of a Daikin VRV system, energy recovery ventilators, hot water heating system, snow melt system, domestic hot water system. Electrical systems consist of a low voltage lighting control system with occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting. The building has full DDC control down to and including the individual spaces.
