A Look at our Library Projects for Ontario Public Library Week

As it’s Ontario Public Library week this week, here’s a look at some libraries we have provided commissioning for over the years.  From those housed on post-secondary campuses to stand alone ones, there is no question that libraries are important parts of our communities across the globe.

The current trend we are seeing is the pairing of recreation facilities with libraries – what a great way to draw attention to two important aspects of personal development!  We also love the trend toward sustainability of course, and you will notice several of our projects already have their LEED certification, while others are on their way to successful certification.

While books are great, there is so much more to libraries these days, such as meeting, study and creative rooms, play areas, computer labs, and gallery spaces.  Gone are the days of being shushed by librarians!  CFMS is pleased to have been part of so many library projects, which enrich the lives of everyone who uses them.
