The new Ed Sackfield Arena is an addition to an existing recreational facility, adding an NHL-sized ice pad, a fitness studio, an aerobics room, and a walking track. The ice pad also has six team dressing rooms (two of which are barrier free), seating for 350 spectators, and shares an ice re-surfacer room with the existing arena.
Targeting LEED Silver Certification.
HVAC systems installed include for hot water heating plant, two roof-top mounted HRUs (c/w ERW, DX cooling, gas-fired heating) serving the Dressing Rooms & Change Rooms, four roof-top mounted HVAC units (c/w DX cooling & gas-fired heating), rink de-humidification system c/w CO/NOx control, radiant floor heating system and domestic HW system. Electrical systems installed included for LV digital lighting control system.
