Garry W. Morden Centre
The Garry W. Morden Centre is a new state of the art 63,000 square foot fire and emergency services training facility for the Mississauga fire department. The facility also houses the Mississauga fire mechanical divisions, City of Mississauga information technology training centre, Department of National Defence training facility, and Peel Regional Police driver training facility. The main administration building and supporting training facilities are built on a 38 acre site.
Services provided by CFMS:
- Complete LEED fundamental (EAp1) and enhanced (EAc3) commissioning
- Chairing commissioning meetings
- Verification of DDC system and BAS
- Verification of lighting control system
- Commissioning co-ordination
- Performance testing of HVAC systems
- Co-ordination of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems training
- Preparation and presentation of systems re-commissioning manual
- Seasonal performance testing of HVAC systems
HVAC systems include for:
- Condenser water plant complete with cooling tower
- Custom AHU with SF & RF VFDs, heat recovery, gas heating and DX cooling serving the heat pump fresh air supply requirements
- Central heating plant for perimeter heating, condenser water heat injection and miscellaneous hot water heating.
- Heat pumps throughout the building
- Computer room air conditioning units
- Emergency diesel generators with storage tank/day tank fuel oil pumping system
