We are pleased to announce that Durham College's Centre for Collaborative Education has surpassed it's LEED Silver Certification asperations, and has achieved LEED Gold instead! CFMS provided the LEED Commissioning for this project, which opened in October 2018. The multi-level, 75,000-square-foot-facility features collaborative learning and social spaces, labs, entrepreneurial spaces, and inclusive learning environments.
CFMS Project Management was led by Jurij Dziuba. The team includes Montgomery Sisam Architects, Architecture Counsel, Eastern Construction, and WSP. Here is what Sean Herszkowicz of WSP had to say about the award:
"It is with great pleasure to announce that the CaGBC has awarded LEED NC GOLD certification for the Durham College CfCE.
I would personally like to thank all of you for your commitment and dedication to the LEED and sustainability goals established for this project. Although the original target was to achieve a Silver designation, the team went above and beyond to achieve the Gold designation."
Another job well done by all! Congrats to Durham College and the team!
