Raptors 905 New Practice Facility Opens!
This past weekend the new Raptors 905 practice facility opened offically this past weekend, and the grand opening included a ceremony, media interviews, and a Raptors 905 basketball clinic.
The new gym will be a shared amenity between the City of Mississauga and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. The gym will serve as the new practice facility for Raptors 905. During the basketball season, Raptors 905 will have an allocation of 75 per cent of the gym time, with the remaining 25 per cent available for community use. In the off‑season, this allocation will shift, with community use increasing to 75 per cent and Raptors 905 using the court 25 per cent of the time.
The brand new 16,000-square foot practice facility was built in a partnership between the City of Mississauga and MLSE, the owners of the Raptors and Raptors 905. It features a full-sized court, including three baskets, revamped state-of-the-art locker rooms, a large fitness and training space, an extensive medical and rehabilitation area and a dining room and player lounge.
