The New First Peoples Indigenous Centre project at Seneca College was recently completed and included for commissioning services by CFMS. CFMS main goal was to review the operation of the new HVAC components serving the new Centre Lounge which included for a packaged unit ventilator c/w hydronic heating, steam humidification & DX cooling, terminal heating units and perimeter radiation.
A Work Area and renovated Offices form the link between the Lounge and the existing corridor serving Building ‘E’ on campus. An existing HVAC system was extended into the link to provide heating, cooling and ventilation for the same. The new Centre is a must-see especially for the exposed glulam beams which hold up the Lounge’s upside-down canoe design.
CFMS Vice President Edward Trueman was the project lead for this ground breaking project.
