Tell us about your role:
I perform on-site commissioning work, involving functional / performance testing of mechanical equipment, verifying building automation systems, attending start-ups and site meetings.Office work involves preparing forms, writing commissioning reports, and working through possible conflicts ranging from scheduling to communication between trades involving commissioning issues.
What is a typical work day like for you?
My typical work day ranges from office work to site work, depending on the time of year and how far along our projects are.
What challenges do you most enjoy in your role?
I enjoy working on site, commissioning mechanical equipment. It isn’t always a smooth process, but getting it completed and correct in the end is always rewarding.
How do you unwind at the end of the day/what’s your guilty pleasure?
I unwind in the summer with baseball and hanging out on a patio. The winter brings darts and football Sundays!
