LEED Certifications - 2019

As we enter the final quarter of 2019, we took a look at the projects we provided commissioning for that achieved LEED Certification this year.

The first one in March was the City of Brampton's Williams Parkway Operations Centre.  The two storey 35,000 square-foot LEED Gold building includes for administration offices, training facilities, and support spaces.

Next was the 407 East Maintenance Facility located in Ajax at the 407 East extension site, which achieved LEED Certification March 28, 2019.

In April, Canon Canada Headquarters achieved LEED Gold Certification. The CaGBC has a full profile.  The Headquarters include all amenities to run the national operations.  Unique in-house features include kitchen/dining, atrium, smoke control, reclaimed water, emergency power, lighting control and smart building integration.

Before school was back in session, in August both York University's New Student Centre and Durham College's Centre for Collaborative Education achieved LEED Gold.  Both buildings are home to services both essential and to enhance student experience on the campuses.  The Durham College CFCE surpassed it's orginal goal of LEED Silver.

2019 is not over yet, and while CFMS has seen over 70 projects achieve their LEED certifications that we have provided commissioning for, there are still over 30 in the process of achieving their certification, so there might be more yet before the year is done!
